About
we are powered by creators and go-getters

Fetch Collective is Syracuse University’s first ever creatively career driven beauty and fashion media outlet. We aim to create a social platform for all students, enrolled in the milestone or not, to showcase their work and connect them with future career opportunities. At Fetch, there is a position for all interests through the editorial collective, the social collective, and the mentorship program.
WHAT FETCH CAN OFFER YOU
THE EDITORIAL COLLECTIVE
Members will analyze current trends, the history of fashion and beauty, and campus couture through the lense of their respective majors and career trajectories. Students who are passionate about fashion design and wish to share their opinions and keep the greater public involved in evolving trends are encouraged to join the current trends team. Students who are interested in the development of the fashion and beauty industry through history and wish to pursue research-based journalism in the future are encouraged to join the historical classics team. Finally, students who are proficient in public speaking and wish to interact with students on campus are encouraged to join the “campus couture team.”
THE SOCIAL COLLECTIVE
Members of this collective will work collaboratively across social platforms, focusing on specific niches to ensure productivity and provide a deeper understanding of a specific platform. The Instagram team will be responsible for transferring information and material from the website onto the brand’s Instagram page. The team will advertise what is posted online and create interest in the collective through intriguing graphic design and compelling copy. The Twitter team will be able to live-tweet current and “daily” news to keep followers up to date on fashion news as it is reported. Members who participate this will share a morning and nightly news check to wrap up the day. The team will also cover certain events live through Twitter, such as the Met Gala. Finally, the TikTok team will create content in the form of videos relating to fashion and beauty on campus. Members will be able to grow their production and video editing skills through this position.
THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
In this program older students are able to volunteer to mentor younger students in the club on topics such as career aspirations, internship experiences, and advice on job applications. This program will foster unity and collaboration amongst students in the program and will help students who are just beginning their journey in the industry to feel more welcomed and informed.
SO, WHAT SETS US APART?
Fetch Collective challenges traditional beauty standards and the individualistic nature of the fashion industry. We believe that community is what builds a successful brand. As a collective group of unique individuals, Fetch grows each and every member based on their personal experiences, goals, and passions while taking on the creation of a start-up.
